Unexpected Car Breakdown

Okay, I’m posing a question to my loyal followers. Have you guys ever put on a music playlist only to spend two hours listening to the whole thing and pretty much forgetting about what you were doing before the playlist came on? This has happened to me multiple times, the most recently being yesterday when I was driving home to Toowoomba from the Gold Coast. I went to the Gold Coast for the weekend with a group of mates, and chucked on an absolutely fire playlist for the drive home. I completely forgot that I was even driving until my car broke down. You can imagine my surprise when I realised what had happened.

Luckily, I was relatively close to Toowoomba at this point and so I called my local 4WD mechanic and had him come and check out why my car broke down. I remember wondering if I had done something to my car that caused the break down, because I honestly wasn’t paying attention at all. I was too busy thinking about how lit my playlist was.

It turned out that the reason my car broke down was because I was in urgent need of car repair. Near Toowoomba, mechanics really emphasise how important it is to get your car serviced regularly because if a break down happens, you can be stuck in the middle of nowhere. I haven’t really done that. So yeah, I guess it was my fault that my car broke down even though it wasn’t directly related to me not paying any attention to the road.

But yeah, back to the question I posed at the start of this blog post. Is anyone else the same? Do you guys listen to a playlist and then get so consumed by it that it distracts you from real life? Let me know if this happens to you in the comments section, or if I should pay a visit to my local doctor…

Thanks legends,

Jake
